TOM (Transport Operation Manager) :
1.1.General Requirement :
·
Formal
Education : Minimun S-1 (bachelor
Degree) from Engineering or General Management or Transport Management (include
Logistics/Supply Chain)
·
Age : in between 33-37
years old (more than 37 can be consider as cases basis
·
Work
Experience : Minimum 3 year in
Logistics operation & minimum 2 year in Transportation area (Land &
Seafreight)
·
Previous
Industry : 3PL Company or Freight Forwarding/Trucking
services or FMCG industry or others (depend on experience level)
·
Gender : Male or Female
·
Workshop/Training : Focus in logistics & supply chain
area, especially in transportation management
·
Working
Based : Surabaya _ East Java
1.2.Additional Requirement :
·
Understanding
& in-depth of knowledge of logistics operation (especially related to
transportation) & Supply Chain Management concepts
·
Having
wide network & relationships with transportation services vendors (trucking
company, freight forwarding, shipping line, etc)
·
Transport
Management System (TMS)
·
Road
Transport Safety & Risk management
·
Integrity,
accountability, honesty, & open minded
·
Having
leadership behaviour (leader model) & team work habits

Negotiation
& Communication skills

Deep

1.3.Job Description :
·
Direct
activities related to dispatching, delivery schedulling, routing, &
tracking transportation in multi moda transport (Land, Sea, Railway, etc)
·
Plan
and implement transport strategy and activities consistent with overall aims
and requirements across company group
·
Control
the operation of transportation at the approved level of cost & preparation
for management approval such as proposed price, tariff adjustment
·
Monitoring
spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budget
·
Responsible
to set up & manage Transport KPI (ie. OTD, POD, DDT, Cost Reduction, etc)
·
Fullfill
objectives & direction from Holding Company
·
Direct
investigation to verify & resolve customer or shipper complaint
·
Liaise
with warehouse operation, distribution activities & others related funtion
influenced by or reliant upon transport activities.
·
Analyze
expenditure & other financial information in order to develop plans in
future transport strategy
·
Manage
all staff reporting to the position. Effectively recruit, train,
evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities.
·
Monitor,
record, analyse and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations
relating to transport activities related to the vendor management function
·
Manage
the necessary documentation, cost-effective and lawful execution of all
transport activities.
·
Maintain
personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant ICT (Information
& Communications Technology) and other systems within the transport
function.
·
Prepare
and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, for
example: delivery schedules; routing, transport and safety documentation.
·
Investigate,
plan and implement strategically effective and relevant transport methods,
which meet optimally the needs of across company group organization and its
suppliers and customers.
·
Ensure
health and safety regulations are adhered to and make recommendations for
improvements
·
Involved
in procurement process for vendor selection, transport bidding & vendor
contract approval
